Bio: Karie has lived in Kansas City most of her life and enjoys being part of the community. She is passionate about IMKC because it allows her to stay in touch with her desire to help better serve families and children in the metro area.
Karie currently works as a recruiter for a medical staffing company and received her bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. In her free time, Karie enjoys a close relationship with her family and friends, traveling, exercising and exploring all that Kansas City has to offer.

Bio: Leslie has been in social services for 38 years, providing psychotherapy for innumerable adolescents and adults. She believes everyone deserves a life free of mental-illness, which inspired her to co-found IMKC.
In 1987, Leslie received her Master's in social work from the University of Kansas and since has specialized in emotional, sexual and physical abuse -- as well as addictions, depression and anxiety. She holds certifications in EMDR , Sex Addiction and Brainspotting therapies.
Passions: Being the best at what I do; Building IMKC and watching it flourish, help the underserved and collaborate with like-minded organizations; Helping others to find their own strength and clarity of mind

Bio: Kirsten was raised in Key Largo, Florida -- growing up in such a tight-knit community instilled an early understanding of the importance of civic engagement and service. She believes that IMKC and its focus on providing quality mental health to those without access serves a greater goal of healthy, sustainable communities.
Kirsten has worked in media, political consulting, research and local government. She is currently a Master of Public Administration candidate at the University of Kansas. Kirsten also possesses training in public facilitation and deliberative democracy. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys volunteering, reading, running and spending time with her border collie mix, Beau.

Bio: Lindsey was born-and-raised in Kansas City, MO. She takes pride in the city and is proud of its continuous development in business, community and social resources. She is passionate about IMKC and is excited to be part of an organization that will have such a tremendous impact on mental health in the Kansas City area.
Lindsey has worked as a social advocate, life coach and currently teaches parenting skills. She also possesses training in change management, leadership development, team dynamics, executive coaching, social services and psychology. She is currently a candidate for a Master's of Science in Organizational Development.
Passions: Supporting families through advocacy, counseling and education; Advocating for those who may not have a voice, or have not found their voice; Educating the family as a unit, as to contribute to the success of their future
